Whether your aim is to build your holiday language skills, move abroad, enhance your career prospects or simply learn for pleasure, I can tailor a course to meet your needs, delivered in your home or office at a time to suit you.

Many people have had poor experiences of language learning at school or adult education classes and maybe struggled with languages in the past.  My aim is to overturn such misgivings and offer sessions in which learners can rapidly develop their language skills in a friendly, relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere, delivered by a fully qualified teacher of modern foreign languages.

I offer either one-to-one or small group sessions, from beginners to advanced levels in French and Spanish.

I can also help individuals on Open University courses who feel they need additional support

Children

Parents may choose a private tutor to help their children with their language studies for a variety of reasons. It may be to prepare for exams or raise levels of performance in school, or your child may lack confidence in the subject or has fallen behind in class.

In some instances your child's school may not offer your language of choice (often Spanish) or timetabling issues may mean they have to drop a language at the end of key stage 3.

I can help you to overcome such issues by offering friendly and effective one-to-one tuition in your own home.

As a fully qualified teacher of modern foreign languages I can help your child to develop his or her language skills with sessions tailored to meet their needs and abilities, delivered in an atmosphere where they can thrive, in contrast to a busy classroom, where they may compete for attention with up to 30 others.

For exam preparation and revision, I can offer French and Spanish up to GCSE and GCE A Level.
